Fire and Rescue Serving the Heartland

2020 Nebraska Fire School

2020 Fire School Is Canceled

The NSVFA Fire School committee met via Zoom Conference Call on April 8th to discus the 2020 Nebraska State Fire School.  With deep regret the Fire School Committee voted to cancel the 2020 Nebraska Fire School.  The concerns about the well-being of our students, instructors, vendors and support staff comes first and hosting a large gathering, even if it was possible, if the quarantine is lifted shortly just didn’t seem feasible.  The Fire School Committee wanted to show their leadership making sure that first responders weren’t unnecessary exposed to the coronavirus and impacting their ability to protect and serve their communities.

The Fire School Committee also voted to provide full refunds to everyone that has registered for the 2020 Fire School.  If you paid via a credit card the NSVFA office will credit your fee back on the credit card used to make payment.  If you paid by check the NSVFA office will generate a refund check back to you.  Please be patient while we process the 540 plus registrations received so far.  Advance Association Management is working from home to protect their staff and this process may take longer than normal.  Please allow 60 days for the credit or check to be completed.

If your Department or Mutual Aid District made a donation to the Fire School you will be given the option to have that money refunded or applied to the 2021 Nebraska Fire School. The Fire School is also refunding all vendor fees collected.

The Nebraska State Fire School looks forward to providing world class experience for the 2021 Fire School and ask you to reserve the dates of May 21, 22, & 23, 2021.
