NSVFA Annual Membership Information


July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009

The Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighter’s Association needs your membership!  All Volunteer Fire Departments or Companies, Combination Volunteer/Career Fire Departments, Suburban Fire Protection Districts or Rural Fire Protection Districts, and Industrial Fire Brigades are eligible for membership in the NSVFA.

The annual NSVFA membership enrollment period begins July 1, 2008.  This is truly an affordable membership opportunity.  Your membership will speak as a stronger voice in guiding the future of all Fire & Emergency Services in Nebraska and give individual members a voice.  To JOIN TODAY complete the 2008-2009 NSVFA membership application form found at http://www.nsvfa.org/forms.htm.  Payment is due with enrollment.  You can make a difference.

100% Dept. Membership Information:
100% Department Membership = Enrollment of ALL of a Department’s members as NSVFA members.
ANNUAL DUES—$15.00 per member including the Fire Chief.

  • NEBRASKA FIREFIGHTER NEWSPAPER - Included as part of the $15.00 per member dues is $5.00 for a one year subscription to the Nebraska Firefighter beginning with the October issue and concluding with the September issue the following year.  Members must be enrolled by September 1 to receive their October issue. 

    The newspaper is not prorated for late memberships.

    Additional subscriptions for non-NSVFA members ie. Retired members, Board members are welcome at a cost of $5.00 per subscription as long as the payment is submitted with the dues.
     

  • FIRE SCHOOL DISCOUNT: 100% Dept. Memberships enrolled by December 31 receive a fire school class fee discount and may add new members up to Fire School to qualify them also for the member class discount fee.
     

  • INSURANCE: $4,000 Accidental Death, Dismemberment Insurance is provided to each NSVFA member “by member enrolled”, 24 hours a day.
    One month should be allowed for processing addresses for subscriptions to take effect.  It is extremely important that correct postal addresses are furnished for all members.  Renewing memberships need to check their enclosed rosters closely for correct postal addresses!!

“Member Dept. ” Only Information:
“Member Dept.” Only Membership = Enrollment of only the Fire Chief and selected members
chosen by the department for enrollment as NSVFA members.
ANNUAL DUES—$110.00 which includes the Fire Chief.
After the Department/Fire Chief dues are paid, additional members may be added @ $15.00 each.

  • NEBRASKA FIREFIGHTER NEWSPAPER - Included as part of the $110.00 per department/chief dues is one copy of the Nebraska Firefighter mailed to the address listed for the fire chief beginning with the October issue and concluding with the September issue the following year. Any added members will also receive a monthly subscription. Members must be enrolled by September 1 to receive their October issue.

    The newspaper is not prorated for late memberships.

    Additional subscriptions for non-NSVFA members ie. Retired members, Board members are welcome at a cost of $10.00 per subscription as long as the payment is submitted with the dues.
     

  • FIRE SCHOOL DISCOUNT: Fire Department members including the Fire Chief enrolled by the “Member Department Only” by December 31,
    receive the member class discount fee at fire school. New members may be enrolled after December 31 but they will not receive the fire school discount.
